The illustrations of this shirt are based on photos taken by Mandy and Lara Sirdah, twin naturalists and photographers in Gaza, of the birds they have observed in Palestine over the past few years, before and during the genocide. In designing the shirt we were impressed by the beauty and variety of birds, as well as the similarities between many of the birds we see here in Mérida, albeit undere very different circumstances.

Mandy and Lara created the Birders of Palestine project to support Palestinian birdwatchers, and all of the proceeds of the sale of this shirt will be donated directly to the project.
