The Cardenales Community
Colectivo Cardenales originated as Cardenales Birding Club, a not-for-profit organization founded in Mérida in 2019 as a sibling chapter of the Feminist Bird Club. All tours provide direct monetary support for Colectivo Cardenales community programming, which includes monthly introduction-to-birding outings, classes, and workshops for birders of all ages.
By The Numbers
In 2024 we hosted 30 community events for more than 500 participants. This was an 86% increase from our reach in 2023.
