A Little Birdie Told Us
“Audubon enthusiasts and beginners alike will enjoy this! We saw many birds in a beautiful and tranquil setting. Would highly recommend this for bird lovers, nature lovers, and anyone who just wants a mindful walk. Allison and Arturo are friendly and accessible, and bird-watching with them is peaceful and approachable.”
- Peaceful Eco Park Guest
Tucked away off the road to the coast is Sihunchen, a serene and ecologically abundant archaeological park. Along the shaded trails we will encounter the remains of ancient Mayan structures that have become part of the forest and offer a breezy 360-degree view of the Yucatecan deciduous lowlands when you climb to the top. As we make our way through the park we will be looking for roadside hawks, buntings, woodpeckers and hummingbirds. After the hike we will enjoy a refreshing snack and rest beneath the trees, with an option to enjoy a swing in an hamaca or a dip in the pool.
