Plantando Árboles • Planting Trees

This shirt features a Cardenales original design on a hand-dyed cotton t-shirt. The text is a quote by Bengali poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore that reads, "El que planta árboles, sabiendo que nunca se sentará su sombra, al menos ha comenzado a comprender el significado de la vida."

This translates to, "The one who plants trees, knowing that they will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life." The design features the mighty ceiba that provides shade and shelter for birds and people across the Peninsula. Screen printed by hand in Mérida, Yucatán.
